Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten 1 students went on their first educational trip on Tuesday, 19 September 2017 at the Fire Brigade Melati Mas. The bus was filled with giggles and excitement as we begun the trip. When we arrived at the Fire Brigade Station at around 9:30 am, the firemen warmly welcomed everyone. The children got more excited when they saw the fire trucks all lined up and ready for action.
One fireman kicked off the program as he explained to the children their different roles and showed some equipment they use to put out the fire and save lives. The day got even more exhilarating as the fireman announced that the children would be given a chance to ride a moving fire truck and use the firefighters’ hose.
It was a fun filled day for everyone as all the children learned more about the firefighters and their role in the community. It was a great opportunity for the JWA students to experience a day in a life of a fire fighter.
